Place To Volunteer

I have been trying to get in contact with places I could volunteer at. These are some examples that would be the most convenient for me:

House Of Ruth             

 The House of Ruth is located in Pomona. Previous seniors volenteered there.



Cal State Fullerton                               


 
I have emailed a couple professors that are in the social work department at Cal State Fullerton, asking if i would be able to sit in on classes.

1. What is the best way to determine if a child's living situation is suitable for them to live in?

2. EQ: What is the best way to determine if a child's living situation is suitable for them to live in?

• Parent/guardian should cooperate with requirement made by the judge. This shows that they are ready to take on the responsibility of raising the child properly.
• To study and observe all aspects of living situations in home.

3.The most important sources forme wouls be the articles that explain the acts and regulations that social workers have to go by.

Independent Component 1 Approval

 For my independent component I want to research the different processes and policies that social workers who work in child protective services have to go through in different situations. This would help me become more familiar with  what exactly is going on when working with my mentor. There are many different terms, policies and processes that can make understanding things a bit harder, doing the research will give more clarity and understanding overall.
